Positioner anchors Raumer “Fork” (for holes boreholes correct)

This tool has been designed to dramatically facilitate the placement of the new “FORK” dual-shank resin anchors (see art. 522 – 523 – 524).

The use of this tool ensures that the two holes created by hammer drill are exactly the correct distance apart and in line with each other.

Use:

-Make the first O12mm hole, following the usual procedure as outlined for the placement of all RAUMER anchors, ensuring there is a suitable placement for the second hole.
-For this type of anchor there is no need to create a “groove” - if anything, simply flare the lower edge of the hole slightly.

-Clean the hole using a rubber tube and a pipe cleaner then insert the O12 shank into the hole and turn the anchor to face the proposed placement area for the second hole.
-It is not necessary to turn the loop to the direction of the load.
-In certain circumstances such as Canyoning, it is advisable to position the loop in line with the flow of water.
-The FORK’s loop is highly resistant to rockfall and debris during flooding (up to a reasonable limit).

-Insert the drill bit into the guide hole of the DIMA and drill the second hole until nearing (but not touching) the edge of the guide hole.
-Remove the bit and the DIMA from the first hole.

-Insert the drill bit back into the half-finished hole and complete it to the desired depth.

-Clean the hole well then inject the resin and fix the anchor in place, following the instructions as described for other resin anchors (eg. art. 160).

The tool is also equipped with a O3mm cord to attach it to a harness and prevent loss.
