Special stainless steel punch for fixing anchor with pin inside

Stainless Steel Punch for placing anchors with internal pins.

This special but simple punch has been designed specifically to fulfil two very important functions when placing “FULL TIME” anchors with internal pins.

When placing these anchors in marine environments (and elsewhere) the first function is to avoid the “pollution” of the stainless steel AISI 316L surface with iron particles.

In fact, a single strike with a standard iron hammer can leave small traces of iron on the anchor which in time and particularly in very aggressive environments (such as marine areas) can react with the thin protective passivated coating and lead to corrosion and rust.

The second function is to ensure accurate hammer blows to the pin, avoiding any surface damage to the area around the pin.

Composed of a rounded stainless steel AISI 316L bar (the same material used for the anchors themselves), O16mm. Total length : 140mm.

The surface is finished with a diamond knurled pattern for excellent grip and the punch is equipped with a 1.5m x 3mm cord to prevent loss.
