Art. 529– Stainless Steel BELAY STATION : 2 FULL TIME 10L + 2 Chains + 2 Round Rings (O10)

Similar to art.168 in terms of usage, but using the new "FULL TIME 10L" bolt hangers.

NEW Fixed Stainless Steel AISI 316L Belay Station composed of two FULL TIME 10L (art.505), two chains (art.175), two round 10mm thick rings (art.177).

Now comes complete with the exceptional FULL TIME 10L bolt hangers for hammer drill placement.

The shank has a 10mm external diameter and is 70mm long, containing a 6mm-diameter pin.

This is a completely fixed anchor and is particularly suitable for safe, strong and fixed long-term stances.

To place, follow the instructions below:

Placement Advice:

-The placement surface must be completely solid with a crystalline structure.
-As well as visual evaluations, a good method is to strike the rock vigorously with a hammer.
-The sound produced should be dry and dull rather than hollow.

-Drill two O10mm holes horizontally and at a distance of 20-30cm from one another, taking care to drill them perpendicular to the placement surface.
-The required SDS PLUS drill bit is 10mm diameter (such as art. 198) and the depth must be at least 5mm longer than the length of the shank (75mm).
-A deeper hole has no ill-effect on the anchor (although naturally it wastes the drill's battery).
-Make sure that the bit is in good condition and that its diameter is exactly equal to the diameter of the anchor.
-Use a small pump or a rubber tube to blow down the holes and clean them. At this point, take the belay station and enter both Full Time bolts into the holes.

-Position the Full Time hangers to face the desired load then strike the pin heads squarely with the hammer until they can move no further into the shanks.
-Please note, when striking the hammer it is possible to “miss the target” and hit the plate of the Full Time hanger instead, which can damage it slightly.
-This does not detract from the anchor’s quality but naturally damages the aesthetic value.
-In response to this, RAUMER has created a small punch (see Art.530) which makes this process considerably easier and improves placement.

-The belay station is now in place and ready for use.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
-From 2013 the material used in the majority of our anchors is now stainless steel AISI 316L, which offers a higher resistance to marine corrosion than the former AISI 304.
-To highlight this change each article is stamped with the relevant symbols.
