BRAND NEW stainless steel AISI316L carabiner, new for 2013!

This carabiner responds to the need for a bomber carabiner for universal use.

It replaces the previous version (Art.308 – no longer in production).

Equipped with a new gate design (for a carabiner), the carabiner is closed using a special ergonomic screw gate of 13mm.

However the gate only screws on one side on a M10 thread, whilst the other side operates using a “push” system.

The gate can therefore be opened quickly and with one hand.

When the gate is fully open there is a space of 15mm to thread the rope.

It is important to highlight one of the carabiner’s technical aspects:
when the gate has been screwed opened, the screw remains fixed in position (with a specific braking system) and completely open, allowing the rope to be easily threaded through the carabiner.

Once the gate is closed the rope can not slip out accidentally.

The upper part of the carabiner is welded diagonally with a 4mm-thick bar (“closed” type).

This fixes the carabiner in place and prevents any accidental twisting.

The carabiner therefore always faces the correct way.

After intense use however the rope may cause wear on this carabiner (nothing lasts forever!).

Using pliers it is possible to clip the bar (which is welded at one side) and bend in until it is possible to remove the carabiner and replace it with another, reversing the procedure.

The stainless steel (AISI 316L) allows the placement of anchors in areas with harsh environmental and atmospheric conditions, as it is unreactive to mud, rain, ice and seasonal temperature changes.

This carabiner's shape has been designed to reduce weight without compromising strength.

The steel is 12mm thick at point of contact with the rope, allowing for exceptional durability.

(IMPORTANT NOTE: Always remember to close the gate once the rope has been inserted!)

The construction technology means this product is available at a very competitive price: equal to art. 165.

Note: THIS CARABINER CAN BE ATTACHED TO ANY LOWER-OFF ANCHOR SET ON REQUEST!

Tested and rated to a strength of 15 kN.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
-From 2013 the material used in the majority of our anchors is now stainless steel AISI 316L, which offers a higher resistance to marine corrosion than the former AISI 304.
-To highlight this change each article is stamped with the relevant symbols.

Attention:
-There is also a “Marina” version of this anchor which is highly resistant to saline corrosion.
-To mark the difference between stainless steel AISI 316L and the marina version of the same material, all marine-suitable anchors have been marked with a fish symbol and the initials “INOX".
