Περιγραφή

Art.540 – Stainless Steel Belay Station : 2 Rock (O10) + 2 Twisted Ring Chains (L=13cm) + 1 Round Ring (O10) + 1 “RING SAFETY 13” Carabiner (art.534)

High-quality versatile Belay Station.

It is suitable for all situations where the belay can be placed in any position – slabs, roofs, overhangs etc.

Also very popular with indoor/artificial climbing walls.

The rope is threaded through the FIXED “RING SAFETY 13” (Art.534), preventing any chance of it slipping free accidentally.

However if necessary the carabiner can be replaced easily after heavy and frequent use.

The anchor is usually bolted using a Hang Fix expansion bolt. We recommend using two screw anchors such as art. 157.

Placement Instructions:
1
The placement surface must be completely solid with a crystalline structure.
As well as visual evaluations, a good method is to strike the rock vigorously with a hammer.
The sound produced should be dry and dull rather than hollow.

2
-Use an appropriate drill to create the hole in the rock, taking care to make it exactly perpendicular to the placement surface.
-Use a 10mm SDS PLUS drill bit (such as art.198) with a depth equating to the chosen anchor.
-A deeper hole has no ill-effect on the anchor (although naturally it wastes the drill's battery).
-Make sure that the bit is in good condition and that its diameter is exactly equal to the diameter of the anchor.
-Drill the second hole between 20 - 25cm horizontally left or right of the first hole, following the same procedure.

3
-Insert both bolts in the Rock hangers then insert these into the drilled holes using a hammer.
-Position the hangers to correspond with the directional force.

4
-Use a hex key 17 to complete the placement, turning the nuts with an appropriate level of torque.

5
-The belay station is now in place and ready for use.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
-From 2013 the material used in the majority of our anchors is now stainless steel AISI 316L, which offers a higher resistance to marine corrosion than the former AISI 304.
-To highlight this change each article is stamped with the relevant symbols.
