Long days in the mountains are characterized by many contrasts: Frost at night, sun-drenched mornings, sheltered trails, stands exposed to the cold.

The highly breathable Switch Pro Hooded is the perfect jacket for sweat-inducing activities in cold conditions. It ensures optimum temperature regulation, wicks away sweat during intensive ascents and keeps you warm when resting or belaying.

With it, you can concentrate fully on your project without having to constantly put it on and take it off.

Innovative Active insulation
At its heart is the unique Octayarn inner lining: a modern, lightweight and moisture-regulating alternative to conventional Fleece fleece materials.

Under the microscope, you can see the hollow, branched fibers of the insulation material, which resemble a cogwheel with eight "teeth".

This complex 3D structure increases the surface area, improving thermal performance and moisture transportation while reducing the overall weight.

Octayarn is as thick as an 80-denier fiber, but weighs only half as much and is significantly less bulky.

Octayarn consists of a highly breathable fabric and has no inner lining. It reliably wicks away moisture and ensures a comfortable feel during intensive activities.

This is a particular advantage in technical terrain where changing layers is not an option.

To compensate for the lack of a smooth inner material, we have reversed the Octayarn lining on the arms.

This provides the same warmth, but glides perfectly over other layers of clothing and allows unrestricted freedom of movement vertically.

The lightweight, elasticated outer material offers wind resistance, PFC-free water-repellent protection against light rain, spindrifts and cold wind.

For a perfect fit, the Switch Pro Hooded has inserts made from bluesign®-certified Pontetorto® Fleece fleece under the arms, on the sides and in the hood.

This highly technical Fleece fleece is made in a family-run textile factory in Italy and is our best performing Fleece.

The strategically placed inserts also prevent overheating and allow full freedom of movement.
