Although our products evolve every year to match your requirements, there are a few basic technical details that make the enviable reputation of the Vade Retro products.

Neoprene

We exclusively use Yamamoto Neoprene. It is not manufactured from petrol, but from limestone, which contains up to 99.7% of calcium carbonate.

Advantages:

A more even density of the neoprene (better insulation, better buoyancy, material resistant to compression damage)
Elasticity similar to that of human skin, thus adding extra comfort
Increased durability through production techniques that do not involve any physical or chemical alteration of the neoprene

To top it all, several studies carried out by the Japanese Ministry of Health and Research have come to the conclusion that the Yamamoto neoprene is not toxic. The non-toxicity of
petrol-based neoprene has not yet been proven …

Production

Our wetsuits are glued then sewn together with 3-thread blind stitches. Because of our top-quality requirements we also select the other materials with care (very stretchy trimmings, nylon threads 40 deniers, YKK zippers).
Strong and flexible polyurethane varnish.
