The Makalu Jacket combines a supple feel with robust weather protection for extremely wet conditions.

It is one of our most popular waterproof jackets for year-round mountaineering, climbing and hiking.

Whether you put it on when a storm is approaching in the vertical or wear it all day in constant rain - it provides reliable protection from the elements.

The breathable 70D GORE-TEX outer fabric offers a good balance of durability, comfort, and weight.

It withstands the rigors of alpine terrain, heavy backpacks, and harsh conditions. Plus, it packs down small and stays comfortable all day long.

The helmet-compatible, fully adjustable hood offers reliable protection. The Alpine Fit eliminates excess material and, together with the pre-shaped sleeves, ensures plenty of freedom of movement.

The adjustable waistband and laminated cuffs keep rain out and make it easy and comfortable to combine with other layers of clothing.

At the same time, underarm zippers help regulate temperature and moisture during sweaty phases or in damp conditions.
